Hi is it possible to swap over to normal disks from carbon on a 2017 gt3..I have heard there not very good on normal driving and take a lot to heat up cheers

Hi,
Not sure why you would want to change? For normal driving the PCCB are on a whole different level to standard, it's all about the feel, and obviously the weight saving. For normal road use PCCB are amazing.

Unless your intending to track it? They damage easily apparently on track :thumb:

Have steels on my car and they are very good once warmed. Have also tried cars with PCCB and they are also very good, bordering on awesome.

Not much between steels and PCCB in the real world on UK roads.

At the track, the PCCB will retain superior performance over extended periods of hard driving when compared to the steels. However, it has been suggested that PCCB are vulnerable to (expensive) wear if repeatedly tracked.

So taking all the pros and cons into account, and in my mind anyway, would not be thinking about changing from PCCB to steels unless you intend to purely track the car on a frequent basis.

Steelies - brake dust.
Ceramics - no brake dust.
