New Cabriolet Roof 997.2, Experiences?

Hey forum members, just after seeing if anyone has replaced the roof on their Cabriolet or has looked into it before?
I have just purchased a 2010 C4S Cabriolet and although the car is generally in mint condition the roof is worn quite badly in places due to spending a lot of its life down and a hard top fitted while not in use in storage outside. The wear on the roof spoils the car a bit and it's was always my plan to change the roof at some point.

Any experiences or recommendations of suppliers and installers would be much appreciated!

Cheers

I don't think I'll be attempting to replace the roof myself Alex after reading your thread! I'm hoping there is someone out there who specialises in fitting these, or doing a job lot supplying and fitting!

They tend to wear in the same places
If you replace the hood, in 18 months time, it'll look just like it does now , I'm afraid

Mine still looks mint after 12 months :dont know:

Yeah I've seen it on a few 997s but this one is bad. I've just sold a 997.1 2005 Cabriolet and it had all the normal fold marks that you get with these rooftops but this 2010 one I've just bought the fabric is really worn at the fold points and fraying. Really spoils a near perfect condition car 😞

You could try these guys but they're based in Sheffield. Not too far a drive from Newcastle. I've not used them recently but they did a Mazda RX7 for me many years ago and the job was superb.

You could also consider the Renovo kit easily found on eBay, with brushes and protective sheeting. I did mine last year and it refreshed my roof to almost showroom condition.

I must be the only one who has had a bad experience with Renovo, the day after I did the blue roof on my Boxster my neighbour knocked on my door to inform me that someone had vandalized it

I did buy the "kit" from a non Renovo seller on ebay though :nooo:

I think Osh had a similar experience.
