Ohlins installation question

Hello

My 1998 C2 has been enjoying the wonderful transformation that Ohlins Road & Track provided over the last 12 months. During my last alignment check, the mechanic noted that my front springs sit directly on the (stock) top mounts - without the regular rubber and nut parts. Is this normal or I'm really missing something there?
