Hi all,

I am currently searching for a 996 C4S.

My paint colour preference is Seal Grey, but I would consider other colours. I have no real preference of interior colour, I suppose it depends on the combination of both paint and leather colour.

The vehicle must be/have:

<60k miles
Manual
Full Porsche/Specialist service history
Original keys/manuals etc
Comprehensive history records with invoices to support
Porsche embossed headrests
Heated seats
Excellent interior/exterior condition
Must have been well cared for

The vehicle will ideally have:

IMS replace/upgrade with supporting documentation
Good Porsche rated tyres
More options are preferred, but not critical

My budget is up to £30k for the right vehicle - dependant on the above.

Thanks,

Jamie

I'm very easy pleased...

I will keep on checking all of the usual places too, you never know!?

...with your budget buy a cheap decent one and get engine rebuilt or buy one with a rebuilt engine...placing such a determined emphasis on colour and trim combinations is , forgive me for saying this. a misplaced priority...with these cars...

Thank you, all advice is welcome (and encouraged). As above, I would prefer engine works to have already been carried out, but if the car is right in other aspects, then I am happy to carry out the works under my ownership. I am constantly researching and trying to raise my knowledge. I appreciate that there is always a compromise.

Seal grey/black was very popular on 4Ss, so shouldn't be too limiting.

If you are using it as a daily driver I would suggest Litronic lights as being something good to have, as the standard lights are useless and its a bit more involved putting HIDs in with the new MOT rules.

Good hunting!

No affiliation - I'm also looking for a c4s though.

Thanks for sharing. I did see this one and will likely make some enquiries.

I just think that the rear lights work so well on the Seal Grey...

Good shout on the lights, definitely something else to consider. Absolute minefield.

Do you want to sell yours? :D

Yes, I do love the seal grey with the rear lights, also the front grilles and headlights get set off well too... I sympathise as when I called the guy who supplied mine to see if he had any coming in, my main criteria was I wanted a grey one!

Luckily the buyers when they were new seemed to like grey too, so there are plenty about. Midnight Blue looks excellent too, to my eyes.

To be fair there is not a duff colour, they always look great, the main thing is to find a car that's in good mechanical condition and has been well maintained... stuff like brakes, suspension lower arms, top mounts etc can run into ££££.

Mine sadly is a long way from your >60k mile limit, at 114k miles.

Surely Atlas grey has to be the best colour!

Good luck with your search, there seems to be more bad cars than good ones out there.

Do your research, get a PPI and finally, be patient!

I have to agree, the 996 C4S does look great in most, if not all colours. I also 100% agree on the Midnight Blue!

I'd sell mine for 25k.....

Plenty on here know it.
