Anyone got any recommendations for dent removal near East Mids please? I had some tyres stacked up in the garage and they have decided to break free landing on the rear quarter and door panels leaving some annoying dents which I like to get out.

Thanks in advance

Jon.

Chartwell in Derby probably the best, but not cheap. They're Porsche approved and specialise in prestige motors.

Bromhams on ascot drive in Derby also good, again not especially cheap.

I've had positive experience with both (wife's Audi)

Do you think it can be done as a paintless repair? I can ask my bodyshop man.
Very sorry to hear it, it is something I fear with all sorts of stuff stacked near cars.

Sorry my reply is very blunt but really have no time for this outfit

I believel so Martin, please ask your man was hoping for a mobile service if poss.

Also looking at getting the car painted after the summer TDs. 10 years abuse has taken its toll so would be keen to view yours once's it's be painted :thumb:

Yeah, Chartwell charge the earth, I think most of their work is Insurance jobs. Companies like them are what drives everyone's premium up.

Scott's of Nottingham have a good rep amongst the east mids TIPEC guys I hang about with. They're in Long Eaton.

Pop in if you are near me and I can show you my 300SL which he has done a lot of work on, the only issue is trying to see where he did the work. It would be great to see you anyway.

Thanks for the second recommendation I'll give them a ring. Don't mind paying if you get quality work, it's when you get taken for a ride that grates me.

Don't need paint to remove dents but car does need respraying but want to get this years TDs out of the way first. Just hate looking at the car at present seeing the damage my stupidity has caused

Ross is excellent, is very busy working for top high end dealers around Notts, isn't the cheapest but did me a perfect repair.

Keep in mind that PDR is a less invasive process and requires an exceptionally skilled person with decent glexotools to do it. Offering you a true fix, it maintains the factory paint and provides a fix that doesn't cause you any stress about the products used by the technician.

The outfit that zentrum Porsche use did an excellent job on my wheel arches (rust repair) and seem reasonable. I felt more comfortable going via Zentrum as the body shop business can be a bit wild west.

Don't know if you've seen my touch-up post but the mobile chap I found seemed professional and very fair. If you can get away with a cheap repair, he could be your man. PM me if you're interested. I'm Nottingham based.

Pretty sure he's had it done by now.

For the record I had a mobile guy come out and do a paintless dent repair on my door. He used some handle things to push it out from the back, so could only be done on single skin panels. Cost me £120.
