Boxster 981 Battery problem

Hello All

My Boxster S 981 has a totally flat battery, I have a Ctec MX5 charger, at first this did not recognise the battery and the green light constantly flashed but would not move through the charging modes, I put the jump pack on the car but this failed to jump the car BUT.
I put the CTEC charger back on the car and it started to charge BUT after a few minuted the car started to make "Clicking" sounds ( i think it is the relay ) .
My question is , do I leave it on charge and hopefully the clicking will stop or am i doing something that may damage the car.
Should I remove the battery to charge or again will this be a problem for the car ?
Thanks

I doubt you are doing the car any harm. I'd keep charging.

A bit late in spotting this thread, sorry. I think the clicking relay may be an indication as to what caused the battery to go flat in the first instance... :?:

If your battery has got so flat that the CTEK charger does not recognise it as a recoverable 12V battery, its likely to need replaced.
