** See Page 3 For Collection Day **

Hi guys, well it's been a long time coming but I've finally joined the club!

Back in '74 (aged 8 years old) I fell in love with the look and sound of one of these beauties:

A few years later my Dad bought me a Scalextric 935:

Now, 44 years after it all began and after 7 months searching, I'm the proud owner of one of these:

I wasn't originally looking for a 4S (or a glass roof) but this car had a great spec (for me) and as soon as I sat in the drivers seat and saw those wide hips in the mirrors, well that was it... :D

Only 18,000 miles with 2 previous owners and a full OPC service history - in fact it's just had a major service, including all fluids, filters, belts, plugs, air-con, alignment and the 111 point OPC check within the past few weeks.

Got the usual 2 year OPC Warranty & Assistance package.

I've never been averse to travelling to find the right car and this one was about 100 miles away at Dick Lovett in Swindon - but they've been fantastic to deal with and I'd happily recommend them.

Have a very specific look in my mind for this car (in hand already) but wanted to share a few pics with you for now :D :D

CONGRATS...looks awsome

Very nice!

Lovely story and a stunning car- close to my ideal spec for a 991... enjoy!

Car looks ace, lose the black leather shoes with jeans though! :thumb:

Stunning!

Sure I requested a video of this a few weeks ago.

Enjoy!

I bet that this involves a duck tail and black decals. :)

:envy:

Welcome to 911uk and to 911 ownership. It will be worth the wait. :thumb:

Very very nice, best colour (IMO) and a C4S too, great combo :thumb:

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen - much appreciated :thumb:

I'm not going mad with the mods - can't really if I want to keep the OPC warranty but just a few bits. The changes may not be to everyone's taste but I like 'em.

Pics of collection to follow - more of the car, less of me :D

Really Nice :thumb:
GT Silver looks great with classics.

The best feeling: "Just popping out for a drive in the Porsche!"
Second best feeling: Sneaky look at it through the curtain when it's on the drive (we've all done it!)
