Yeah, it's a good road for Vmax. Ask me how I know ; - )

Clink? Maybe. Deffo if you're caught on a bike.

His Insurance renewal quote could make for interesting reading!

.......unless he was full of coke or booze.

He shoukd talk to Stansfield in Wilmslow to get a real legal perspective.

Just had a go on this:

https://www.drivingban.co.uk/drivingban/free_legal_advice_help/penalty_calculator.php

Result says:

At the speed alleged, you would not qualify for a Speed Awareness Course or a Fixed Penalty Notice, therefore, you should assume the Police will refer the case to Court.
At the speed alleged, there is a risk of an instant driving ban.

Court Guidelines
Speeding (180 mph in 70 Motorway limit)
Fine:
£100–£2,500
Band C
Points:
4–6 *
Ban:
7-90+ days

* If an instant ban is imposed, you will not receive points.

My record was 30 days for doing 87mph in a 40 limit + £300 fine.

Whatever he gets it`s gonna sting a bit

He want's to get the lawyer who represents returning jihadis he'll end up with new tyres and a full tank of juice. :judge:

You can't go to jail for speeding. Dangerous driving you can.

Fine will be interesting. I've paid over £1,200 recently. I guess someone has to pay the welfare bill. :dont know:

Surely that's a record worthy for the Guiness Book for worlds fastest hairdryer!

So unless this guy has the best lawyer on the planet, he's going in the clink. How long do you thing he'll get? Old mate who got caught at 172mph got 10 weeks.

I've driven down the M180 numerous occasions and if any road could be derestricted it would be this one.

I would say he is going down for a decent stretch.

plus if he makes good money the fine will be huge based on income.

that is the new way
