A bit of a shocker

Flippin eck that will send a shiver down GT4 owners cant see how that can be repaired

Might be some nice wheels and seats for sale soon!

Just should not happen........Porsche should sort it, that said if it was mine I would insist on a replacement or money back, main structural failure there.

wow, i thought this only happened to rotten mk1-2 escort strut tops.

And here is the reason why having a mate post on YouTube is a bad idea. When someone from porsche looks at the original linked video....this one loads up automatically next. https://youtu.be/z_WpLON3VSk

This guys driving is truly shiote i'm surprised it's only the strut top thats damaged. :floor:

Old mate needs to leave the TC on as he clearly doesn't have the temperament to drive it properly yet. This won't be easy for him to get through given the videos above :what:

And there is a prior problem with the gearbox is there? Would be interesting to know what the ECU bobbins were reading after the spin. 12 days later the car has gone pop...sounds like a push it away from the track that's usually an urban myth..

Cannot image getting the call to say 'your mates video means we ain't paying out, but you still owe what you owe on the car". Don't want to see that happen to anyone.

I only posted the second link to stop everyone with GT cars crapping themselves...there is always a reason....

On the second video where he is demonstrating his car skills, look at the road surface where he garages his car. If he thrashes up & down there, methinks he has discovered the cause of his problem :?:

Does anyone know how Porsche have dealt with this problem - either via a warranty claim or someone paying up?

Can't believe they be able to fix that fracture??

New front section?

I notice the GT4 has a different part number (starting 981...) for the front tub compared to the Boxster and Spyder (both of which use a 991... part number). This could just be for slightly different front suspension mounts, I guess.
