Secondary air intake valve? Exhaust? Engine?

Hi all,

Just been having a quick poke about the engine bay and have found a vac line that doesn't seem to do anything. It goes from a three way t piece into the rear left wheel arch. The other seems to disappear down the side of the engine in the offside. Maybe goes deeper into the engine bay? I've attached some pictures of the valve location and the part number. Google seems to spot out a secondary air intake valve? Is it to do with the engine intake? Or is it a take off for an old valved exhaust? It has a slot for an electrical connection but nothing attached currently.

Any ideas? Just out of curiosity more than anything else. Please see pics attached.

Looks to be in the right place for PSE.

The valve is for a Porsche sports exhaust system .. a few more pipes than normal though .. retro fit i guess .

You also have some rodent damage to the maf sensor wiring rubber cover .. have a peak to make sure theres no nests on the engine .

Thanks both, makes sense. Shame it doesn't have pse anymore. No dash button either. Great spot demort. Previous owner stored it for a year and something had a good nibble then.

There is s special relay for PSE, you can check to see if that is fitted, also check for the round topped reservoir just behind the first inlet pipe behind where the solenoid was fitted. Not all PSE had a button.
The y-pipe is probably to split the outlet from the solenoid to the two actuators, see if they two pipes exit the engine bay through grommets on the left and right sides. There is a second y-pipe which connect the solenoid to the reservoir and 1-way valve which then goes to the inlet manifold.
