Can anyone explain what the numbering convention for Porsche is?
I'm talking the 964, 993, 996, 997, 991, 992... What happens next? the 99...8?
Or isn't there really one?
I know Ferrari had / have a vague connection to the engine - 355 3.5ltr 5 valves per cylinder..
But I can't find anything, however tenuous that might connect the numbers to the models with Porsche (Except maybe the 914 / 916 which had 4 cylinders or 6! ).
Just wondered.. :thumb:
