So started to put the rear brakes back on I have the adjuster all cleaned and greased etc however when I have put them back the adjuster is catching on the return spring and wont turn with a screwdriver, pretty sure its the right spring having checked my Haynes any tips boys on how to resolve this ? and by the way a replacement spring is £19

I suspect that it is quite normal for the adjuster to catch on the return spring, I am sure it does on all cars I have seen. This is what gives is a notchiness to the movements and stops it from rotating of its own free will.
