Bluetooth in the frunk

I wonder if someone can enlighten me please?

I want to fit a Bluetooth adapter for my phone and I see there are 2 or 3 after-market units that plug into the optical loom. As I see it, you have to disembowel the car to get them in. Which I get, to some extent.

Is there any reason they cannot be wired in place if the CD-changer, in the front boot? Presumably all the right wires are there; power, MOST loop, etc?

Why can it not be done this way?

Forgive the stupid, non-electrician question.

Cheers

Richard

I've had the tooki and the dension500 units fitted on previous 9x7's and I put them in place of where the phone module was ( under the drivers seat )

I then just removed the CD changer from the loop and added the connector to link the MOST fibre loop up without it in the middle.

I think I recall that when I tried to add the tooki once and forgot I'd got the porsche phone kit in the loop the tooki just didn't work, it only sprung to life when I took the phone unit out of the loop.

it may work though.. I suppose since its easier to get to the frunk CD changer then its quicker to get it tested, assuming you can tap power down there also?
