Been a lurker for a while but am now a few months into ownership of my first 911.
So thought I would introduce myself with a few pictures at least!
The car is a 2010 2S, PDK.
Unfortunately I don't have any nice pictures of the car yet so will start with some cleaning/ maintenance that I have been busy with this week. (after taking inspiration from some fantastic threads on here)
I did Front top mounts as they were knackered and after decided I wanted to do the backs as likely the same age and I plan on keeping the car a long time. (didn't take any photos of this as I was too busy wrestling the stuts)
While doing this I took the opportunity to clean out all the wheel arches and under trays. The rear arch liners were hiding alot of crud..
I used one of those brush attachments for a drill and an air line to blast away anything that was left.
All the under trays came off covering me and the garage floor in half a bag of gravel. This gave me a good chance to have a look around underneath especially at the rear coolant hoses which thankfully are showing no signs of corrosion unlike the fronts.
Only things showing noticeable corrosion are 2 diagonal braces at the front and 2 at the back, which I may replace for OCD reasons at a later date
While everything was off I decided now was the time to clear out the front rads. Front bumper off I was really surprised how much dirt and leaves had collected at the top of the rads. Blew out with airline and now nice and clear unlike the rest of the garage which is now covered in a nice layer of dust!
Next up to tackle is the front coolant hoses and crossover pipes which are weeping on the drivers side.
Still surprises me how big the rears are on these cars, I've had a few 4x4s and it makes those seem small!
