I need to buy a pump and cooler for my 997 GT2 gearbox for my 996. Before I get the parts, i'm wondering if I need the coolant valve or just run coolant through it constantly, surely it would just maintain similar to engine temperature, which is no bad thing?

I've found some info on the valve below.

One thing. I'm on syvecs and does anyone know if the loom just plugs into the existing loom?

I'm sure on my GTR, gearbox oil is the same as engine oil and is around 85-89 degrees Celsius.

Edit: couldn't see pics so I've added them via the forum.

Fixed pics. Anyone running a transmission cooler without the coolant valve?
