Mystery misfiring at cold start

Check the air flow meter readings with PIWIS. The service manual gives you a load of parameters to check - ambient temp, speed, injector pulse width, ignition timing etc.

I had a funny cold misfire/stutter with my 986 and it was the AFM - car went stonkingly well when it was swapped out.

Used to get Lambda sensor/adaption codes on it after a longish run, but didn't get a CEL.

Thanks for that, another great suggestion to look into, just what I wanted.
