I'd steer clear - that one has been for sale for a considerable time and I'm pretty sure I did a history check and the MOT history wasn't great. Lots and lots of things to go wrong on a 928 and most of the ones for sale are by people who got into them when they were cheap and then couldn't afford to maintain them.

I saw a couple before I bought my 996 - one was really really ropey and the delluded owner thought it was worth 18k! and the other was mint and was asking around 15k.

You have to make sure that all the regular wear items have been dealt with and that the car has been looked after.

I'd love a 928 some day when funds allow another Porsche into the stable :)

Take a look at https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/

This is the one I almost bought when it came up for sale again this year - think it has now sold as the listing has expired on car and classic -

Firstly, I'm a newbie to the forum, so "hello" and apologies for a thread resurrection.

Second, I am the proud custodian of that F plate 928 in the link you posted

I have the previous owner's bill of sale from Modern Classic Car Co

I also have his 928 Spares invoice for £9,000 incurred a few months after.

You dodged a bullet.

The car, i am pleased to say, is now lovely but someone went through a lot of heartache and no doubt sold it after some horrendous bills. It was pretty much rebuilt.

Welcome :welcome:

You must have bought it off the same guy I was talking to then as he had huge invoices from 928spares which is why I did consider buying it as it looked like it had had a fair wodge of money spent on it to get it up to standard. Not sure why you would want to sell it after spending that much on it but sounds like you have a sorted car now?

Let's see some pictures :envy:
