Hi, so i am in the position to buy a very amazing 911 to add to my collection.
Its very unique, 102k miles and full TekArt Street body kit and its breathtaking.

The problem is, its been sitting around and not really driven for 4 years, started up now and again, but not really driven. Its very clean.
Im not one to go off on IMS issues, but im just a little concerned that the time its been sitting, (garage queen) and ive always avoided buying garage queens.

It looks, clean and will come with a full service by an INDY.

Whats your thoughts? is it a NO NO?

Id has had about 10k spent on an amazing body kit, expertly fitted too.

cheers

Is it an Indi of your choosing? If so, get them to do a full PPI. They should be able to give you pretty sound advice on the condition of the car

I assume that it's a private sale.

4 years is a long time, but if it has been stored properly and has still had some maintenance then it should still be fine.

hi thanks for the reply, yes its had full Porsche service history and its from a Porsche specialist i use for all my repairs/servicing.

Can't say more than that, a thorough PPI by a respected Indy is the way to go, I'd expect a few minor issues if you start to use it regularly.

More pics please, looks interesting.

My biggest concern for you is that you don't get drawn in by the 'unique' bodykit. It might have cost £10k but it doesn't add £10k to the value of the car.

Assess the history and value it as if it's a high mileage 996 and add £5k. If that stacks up, get a PPI done and enjoy. :thumb:

My concern is it has been made to look a bit like a 997 Turbo, and that you'll really limit yourself if you do eventually want to sell. If it's for you to keep, and you like the way it looks, then I'd say go for it (assuming it's at a reasonable price)

Hi no it has a full GT street body kit on not turbo.

Why has it got Turbo vents in the sides then :dont know:

As long as you are happy with it then that's all that matters :thumb:
