I have a questions on a child seat for my 4yr old in my 997.

I want to put him in the front passenger seat front facing.
Do i need to get the airbag de-activated? (OPC quoted a lot for this) and would you say its safe in the front as apposed to the rear?

Cheers

I recently got the airbag deactivation switch fitted, it's worth it for piece of mind. You are right though, it is expensive, but it's a 'necessity' cost i think.

Is it necessary to disable the air bag when the child is forward facing, and harnessed up in the car seat? As the child won't lean forward if they are strapped in

Rear facing sure, that makes sence as the car seat is much closer to the air bag. But forward facing :?:

I'd put him in the back rather than deactivate the air bags.
