Hi all,
Recently developed a odd clink/clunk noise from (what I think) is the back of my '03 996.2 manual coupe.
It happens when pulling off in first or being hard on the throttle in 2nd and 3rd. Also happens in 1st and 2nd when letting off the throttle sharply. Also seems pronounced when on full lock in either direction at slow (sub 5mph). 90% sure it's from the rear.
Clutch and flywheel done at 69k, all tuning forks and cofffin arms, drop links and ARB bushes are done.
Bit of a long shot - is there anything I can inspect/check?! Ive got it on the ramps ready to have a crawl around later!
My thoughts are maybe CV joint, motor or transmission mounts maybe? Is there anyway of checking other than visual? It's almost something feels loose and it's slapping about when accelerating or decelerating sharply! Checked for anything loose in the front, cabin and rear and nothing obvious...
Thanks!
