Shipping wheels from the US to the UK: any advice out there?

I'm buying a set of BBS wheels from an enthusiast in Texas.

And obviously trying to minimise shipping / air freight costs.

Has anyone done this? Any companies to recommend?
 
I've always found it cheaper to source transport costs from the departing country.
Is the seller willing to contact a couple of shippers with the packages weights and dimensions for comparison?

for customs purposes,,,make sure the invoice is appropiate, what i should say is VERY LOW in value,,,,think import duty and vat etc

local shpping from the destination is always cheaper
