c2 tip revs vary up and down about 200 rpm while driving

Got this 200 rpm ' hunt ' only up to 2000rpm when driving As soon as I accelarate past that all is ok., Any idea what it might be. Tried the throttle body etc ....no joy.
 
You need to start with a fault code read out of the dme AND the tiptronic box ..

Ive seen a 987 with a similar issue .. fault code for the torque convertor clutch and it was that .. it locks up at about 2k rpm .. a fault with this causes surgeing or hunting .
