Hi all,

Trying to find answers to all the lovely codes on my 1988 944 turbo's sticker.
I've found most online but struggling with the below.. can anyone advise of them? Cheers

A15
C48
E02

Thanks mate but found both already and no answers.

I think the internet may actually not have the answers!

Can you post a pic of the sticker?

The CXX number is usually the country code, C16 being UK. C48 is not detailed in any of the lists I have seen.

Yes, its odd. See pic...

No idea what "MJ" for the interior code is either..
I thinks its Can-Can full leather.

C48... found this online:
"...if they followed the VAG codes it was for Operating permit, alteration"

:?:

Your local Porsche main dealer will be able to answer these questions I'd imagine.

I could try Porsche Chiswick for a laugh... :D

Thanks, I'll give them a go

Some info here about code groups from IB that might be of use:

The Cxx codes are country codes for special equipment that pertain to that country.

the Dxx code is a year specific group option that combines several separate option codes.

the group options generally have a letter as the first character that will change from year to year, then the next two characters define the group code. it is difficult to determine what each group option consists of.

1980 F25

1980 F26

1980 F27

1981 J16

1981 J17

1981 J20

1982 M06

1982 M07

1983 R14

1983 R16

1983 R31

1983 R35

1983 R49

1983 R64

1984 D24

1984 D29

1984 D94

1984 E09

1984 E10

1984 E12

1984 E13

example of group option D15 for 1970 witch appears to be an appearance group contains:

058:- rubber buffers on bumper horns

565 - leather steering wheel

568 - coloured windows

976 - chrome wheels 5,5x15

to determine what options D24 contains you need to carefully list all the options you can find on the car, then deduct the options that are listed on the code sticker; what is left over will be options in D24.
