Alignment saga

After doing my front coffin arms and a track rod end, thought it was prudent to get an Alignment, plus my back wheel look to be running excessive negative camber so wanted to also dial some of this out for the sake of tyre wear. As far as I was aware I had m030 dampers and H&R springs giving me a drop of around 30mm. Cavendish Porsche are just around the corner from me and very convenient so booked in for a geo. Car dropped off only to get a call it's too low to go on the ramp and they can't do it. Tried a few others they recommended but no joy. Anybody know anywhere local to Notts/Derby who can do a basic geo and can deal with s lowered car.
Out of interest my wheel centre to front arch is 320mm and clearance (excluding splitter) from floor to lower bumper edge is 150mm if anyone can compare. I assumed this was 996.1 gt3 height and I have a 996.1 c2 with aero.

Centre Gravity would be my suggestion. Pay more but you get back a far superior car.

If they can't get it on the ramp I wouldn't trust them to do my geo

This is X74 - which is just above GT3, yours is noticeably lower:

Centre Gravity will have no problems getting your car on their ramps, they sink into the floor until they're flush.

I'm just back from centre gravity, their ramps are a ground level so shouldn't be an issue for them. If you give them a ring tell them your ground to spoiler height they will give you a definitive answer, also these guys know what they are doing, excellent service and very professional.
They are in Atherstone just off the A5

Ets at Sutton in ashfield has there geo ramp sunk into the floor, the lad who does it knows his stuff too

That's a lovely picture, but I would say that as my car is identical.
I'm in the process of fitting H&R GT3 coilovers onto my car, replacing the MO30 kit. I'm actually going for the same ride height as the stock MO30 gives, as any lower and i wouldn't get the car onto my drive, and I also don't want any impracticalities WRT speed bumps and potholes.

I take it that's not an iPad

OP - surely they could have just put a short plank at the front of each ramp (or 2) just to run it up on to the ramps ? :?

They reckon they tried that but still couldn't get it on, to be honest my confidence in then has gone. Think I have found somewhere fairly local and taking it Monday. I want to change to coil overs over winter so paying CG the £340 they quoted seems a waste. I just want it checking after changing my coffin arms to get me through this summer.

As much as most people would cringe at the thought, I went to one of the local chains for alignment after checking they had a Hunter machine. I'd swapped all my front arms and track rod ends and I just wanted it back to factory spec. It cost me £40 and the car drives the best it ever has in my 6 years of ownership.

Unless you have some really specific requirements, I'm not sure its necessary to go to a specialist and pay the premium attached.
