Time is approaching when it will be time to move my car on, does the x50 still add anything to the price? Mine is an 02 X50 Aero with 64ish on the clock, thinking of maybe giving it to a specialist to sale rather than private, any folks gone that route??

thx

I would expect it would attract a premium if not messed around with.

As you've messed around with yours MC I'll bid £30k - even though it's got too many pedals for me.

Seriously, I'm sure there is still a premium for X50 cars but values of 996Ts aren't where they were 2 years ago.

Regarding SoR, I've done it and would always recommend it as a way of easy selling at the best possible price. Private sales of cars like ours always attract too many time wasters and chancers for my liking. Make sure the dealer you use is a well known one though.

It has to be a genuine X50 - the sticker (not a remap stock car to X50 output), the larger K24 turbos and the improved intercoolers ( I believe they are GT2 intercoolers). It also has a different map than a stock 996 Turbo that will be identified when they plug it in to the diagnostic.

Ken at 9E posted a while back that some of the X50's he sees are not X50's.

There will be a price premium for a X50 car as there will be for a manual box car and mileage will carry a premium if it is low mileage.
History and condition will have a bearing and stock cars will be most sought after and have the widest pool of buyers.

Selling via SOR through a dealer seems a good approach. A specialist will be able to give guidance on premium and value after seeing your car.

Yes it's not a fake :), has the bonnet sticker and logbook sticker :)... Not 100% I am selling yet but will call some of the usual suspects, Ken looks after it so knows the car
