996 #1 - Name that pipe?!

Quick one hopefully for all your Porsche sleuths out there!

I have this what looks like a water pipe on my 996 #1 coming from the drivers side shock absorber, and then it ends up lose around where the battery is (highlighted in green)

My guess is it might be a water hose for one of the front headlights, but where should it connect and where should I look to connect it back up?

Any help much appreciated!
