Oil cap stuck fast

Hi guys

Oil cap is stuck fast and I need to top up. Any suggestions or do I just need to man up???

Can be a little stiff/sticky if not opened for a while.
Apply force and go one quarter turn anticlockwise.

I did think it came out but didn't want to break it - I'll try that and I'll try it cold - it was maybe a little to hot earlier...
