Urgent oil advice

Hi just need advise

My car from cold start the oil temp on the gauge is full and when I start it up the oil goes to 4.

Checked the oil in dipstick and is low so topped it up to half with Castrol edge 10w60 full synth that 3 if my local indies use.

So is it normal to be 4 and when I wait for the 54321 ect it shows full bars
 
Ignore all is fine after temp warmed up to 80 it's dropped to 2 when idle and all good
 
Its a pressure gauge not a temp gauge. Cold oil = thicker oil = higher pressure.
