More activity in a morgue !!

Sunny Bank Holiday syndrome. 8)

At least 18 posts on 911uk in the last 2 hours, hardly dead. Perhaps it is just the 991 brigade. My guess is..

The 996 owners are fixing their cars on a budget
The 997 owners are telling the 996 owners that they should have a 997 instead because it is better 'In every way'.
The 993 and 964 owners are taking the one opportunity a year to drive the car without getting their sandals wet.
The 991 owners are probably just out driving their cars because they bought it as a daily and aren't 'real' enthusiasts anyway.

It's pretty quiet compared to bigger forums. You'll get used to it or drift away.

The only reason the bigger forums are busy is they are busy abusing each other and being aggressive. I find this forum quite active compared to rennlist etc where you can wait days for any reply and then its not relevent as the poster is in another part of the world.

theres no doubt the 996 and 997 sub sections are the most active on this forum but you dont need to have a 996 or 997 to involve yourself in these sub sections

991 sub section is very quiet but I am sure will get more active as the 991 starts to fall into the hands of enthusiasts , when the bankers and suits have moved them on after taking the biggest depreciation hit. :thumb: :thumb:

What's a 991 :dont know:

It's not dead yet...

The issue with the forums is that a limited amount of online activity gets spread around: some only join the official clubs, some don't join any at all, some only post on facebook/instagram/snapchat/tinder and such, and some go completely mad with new forums breaking out of old forums, forum takeovers, and the social/performance/modification/track gangs all heading their own seperate ways and being rude to each other.

I suspect however that most 991s are still in warranty, don't go wrong (or if they do, it's back to the dealer), don't "need" new tyres or brake pads or suspension parts, and the owners don't actually need the knowledge and information from the forums. And they have enough mates already.

The rest of us, we're online for the banter, and the advice, and the community. And the not-stock cars...

From someone who's posted 19 times in 2.5 years. :floor:

iirc you were going to get a 991 in 2015. What happened?

Dead? Hardly! As the saying goes, Quality, not Quantity.
Plenty of other alternatives out there if you need to kill time.

Either they've mis-spelled 911 or not a real Porsche, Jonttt...you decide [runs away quickly before the abuse sets in] :coat:

Probably out driving their cars, revelling in the superior chassis layout whilst staying off here so that they aren't reading about how they don't have a 'real Porsche' and they should have bought a 911. Finely honed to overcome 60 years of stubbornly putting the engine in a stupid place. Anyway, who cares what they are doing, this is 911UK, not boxa.net
