Its been a long time coming but after many many years I have bought a 911
I was trying to avoid Silver as the silver exterior and black interior just didnt appeal, not meaning to offend owners of that colour scheme and I realise it was a popular choice when new
I had a Boxster S with grey leather and I didnt want a repeat on that colour either
I imagined waiting for a green with savanah, atlas grey with red or arena red with savanah or black.
The other criteria was manual not tiptronic and coupe not cabriolet
This week a Silver car with red interior appeared on the scene and as it was very local it would have been daft not to go and look at it despite it being silver
Any how, you know how it is, a look round it turned into a test drive, a chat became a negotiation and before you know where you are you are at home explaining to the Mrs how you have just bought the car you always go on about and how it would have been foolish not to etc.....
Picking it up on Thursday all being well as the MOT is due at the end of May so its going through MOT next week.
A few pictures to set the scene

Yes, that was a bonus

Sorry I cant figure out which link to paste so that it display the photo rather than just a link, I have tried all of them and none seemed to display the image

All the links work for me.

:welcome: to 911 ownership. :thumb:

Thanks, I was trying to display the photo rather than the link to save people the extra clicks

Hi & Welcome!

Nice!! Carrera 4 too so you get a few extra goodies over the C2 of the time.

You need to learn how to do this :thumb:

Congrats on your purchase looks like a lovely car and a bit different with the red interior.

Enjoy it when you finally get it home.

I use imgbb to upload and post pics fairly easy to use.

Congrats - I like the red interior with Silver.

Any more details - age, mileage, purchase price, service history, your plans and your bank details?

Nice although it looks like you might need a new front right radiator lol :D

Its a 1999 car, 92000 miles, we were both happy with the price, part service history plus receipts for work carried out in last ownership, including brakes all round and radiators plus drive belts and dansk exhausts. I havent been through all the paperwork to get the full picture yet.
It'll stay as it is I suspect, my modding days are behind me. It has a Clarion headunit so I may look for a standard unit unless I upgrade to a bluetooth unit
As for bank details, theres nowt left but donations welcome

How so?

It also has extended leather
The interior was in pretty good condition for its age.
It does have a paint scuff on the drivers sill and very small area of lacquer lift on top of the front wing so I am having both of those attended to plus Ill get it to Russ at Revolution for a health check / service in the near future

Welcome along DT4. :bye:

Nice straight looking car. Enjoy!

PS. I think Mac is joking as you're parked over a wet patch with your rad right above it.

Phew, I was worried then.
The rads have been replaced in the last couple of years according to the invoices
