997.1 turbo, best car I''ve ever owned

Following a recent trip to Black Rock Sands in Wales with a few other petrol heads the PPF on the turbo was in need of replacement. I took it back to REEP in Leicester and they replaced the PPF and detailed the car for me.

I picked it up last week and was gob snacked when I saw it. This car is nearly 11 years old now (3 years in my ownership) and it"s still looking fresh. I've owned a lot of cars in my time ranging from Abarth 500 to Nissan r35 GT-R, M3's to Supercharged VXR8's, Landrover Discovery's to AMG's and nothing has held my attention like this car. This is the first car I have ever owned for more than 2 years in the 20 years I've been driving.

Like most things that give great pleasure the cost is excessive at times but somehow the turbo always seems worth it? In my ownership it's had brakes, clutch, exhaust, winter wheels/ tyres, DSC module, 2 trips to REEP,a front end respry, lowering springs, Dension bluetooth module and gallons of high octain fuel.

I have a road trip to Italy planned for later this year with some mates in decent motors, but I wouldn't swap the turbo for any of them. I genuinely can't think of a car i would swap it for right now.

I can't see me ever wanting to sell it. This thing has really got under my skin!

It's a rare thing to meet your child hood dream and it actually be better than you imagined. What a machine!

That looks amazing as you say hard to believe its 11 yrs old , I had similar last week took it in for an MOT and the tech was stood looking at it and turned to me and said is this really 9 yrs old , he genuinly was shocked  :thumb:

That looks stunning. Atlas Grey? Best colour. Fact.

Reminds me I need to get mine detailed

I'm pretty sure mines slate grey, the special order one?

I have no link to REEP but can highly recommend them. I've only been there twice but the owner Pete is very hands on and there always busy. The workshop is alway rammed, they had a La Ferrari, a 18 plate 911 turbo S amongst other things in there when I picked mine up.

Love it!

Have you had the alloys refurbed at all?

Absolutely stunning mate :thumb: and what a great job they've done on the paintwork and wheels. Looks new.

My C2S doesn't get pampered and lives outside but, a day spent on it and comes up great. You wouldn't know it's 13 years old either if the plate was private.

They really are fantastic cars in whichever guise.

Great post, I'm also coming up to three years ownership in mine and completely agree. Your car looks amazing :)

Love that colour!
Mine are 12 years old and still look fab

Yeah, had the wheels done last year. They look even better now they've been detailed though.

Looks fantastic I may be slightly biased though as I also have a slate grey one :thumb: I am assuming you have had your front bumper sprayed since you have no holes for the number plate holder and I also need to get my splitter sprayed although I would prefer an aero

The car looks amazing. I thought it looked like Meteor grey.

Are you sure these are not press/launch pictures from 2006/2007?

:worship:

Your car is absolutely stunning, thanks for sharing. If you don't mind me asking, what is the normal cost for a decent detail?
