911UK "website not secure" warning on I-phone

Doesnt it just mean some internet security cover is out of date :?:

this site doesnt use HTTPS, so it is assume not to be secure since its on http

however to allow for this difference the site is wrapped within an upgraded dedicated service and then secured further by https://www.sitelock.com/ which itself runs on a very secure server

rest assured the site is actually very secure, what youre seeing is the just the generic assumption that http isnt as good as https, which comes up

the next site update will put this set up into a https

Ive seen this for quite a while and had assumed it was a false report by FireFox .. if i had come across this on another site then i probably wouldn,t have continued .

Nice to have confirmation of this though :thumb:

Ah Thanks for the conformation it nothing to worry about , not that I was but some may have been :thumb: :thumb:

Since we have been stuck on this legacy platform longer than expected, we took steps to beef up it's security

rest assured site security is an important consideration of the site

My AV software has started blocking this site now due to lack of https certificate. Its an inexpensive thing to do nowadays (£50PA) and even easier to implement. Google will no longer index sites that are not secured via a SSL so from a commercial point of view its a bit of a no brainer.

How does this secure the traffic between my computer and your backend web server? This just looks like a server based solution to protect your platform.
