I'm due to have my front bumper resprayed soon and am toying with a couple of ideas to either:

- go smooth and stick on (perhaps offset)
or
- go smooth and fit a reduced size (but legal) plate

What have y'all done at the front? :D

Also, is anyone running a splitter with an aerokit? It would be good to see the options and also links of where to buy. :thumb:

Anything else I should tackle or consider at the same time?

This is my preferred option.

Cheers, Keith

Yes, decide if it should have a Euro stars or GB sticker on the plate!!

I toyed with the idea of a stick on but in the end went with a shortened plate, screwed on to keep it tight to the bumper :thumb:

Metal pressed plate, made need low with a 991 short number plate plinth. Got tired of the £100 fine for no plate!!![/img]

Stick on, no plinth all day long (not offset though)

That sits bang on Jez! Love the colour against the Techart rims. 8)

As for reg numbers. Standard main dealer plates on a standard plinth but I'm getting boring in my old age.

I like cars running no front plate, as they do in Florida, but over here it's illegal, hence when I see it I think "Chav!".

Some of those stick on ones, and slightly shorter ones look neat though. Nice solution. :thumb:

...I am very boring and just can't budge from originality, I won't even change the stereo!

I bet that plate didn't come from the supplying dealer... :)

...it didn't, as I have private plates on all of my cars :)

Would like a stick on front number plate but removing the original front 'bill board' that the number plate sits on are half a dozen unsightly screw holes.

Bloody annoying as these would show through a stick on plate so am having a rethink. :?:

Those Techart wheels look great! They're 18" aren't they?

Short 'normal' plate stuck on the regular mount with double sided M3 tape - not too shabby?

Stick on, normal font & spacing, but scaled down to 75% of legal size. Keeping all the proportions right stops it looking like it's modified. It just looks like it's further away, Father Ted style :)

A bit off topic but thanks for the kind words guys :thumb:

Marky - in it's current guise it's just on Eibach springs and sits surprisingly well, like yourself and Craig a decent set of coilovers are in my future plans

Fast Bug - yes the Techarts are 18", not the lightest of wheels but I've always liked them
