Noticed a loose, clear tube in my engine bay this morning. Anyone know what it's for?!

Looks like it should connect as in this picture (circled in green) from the web:

(Image from the web, btw - not my car.)

There are two tubes I think the other end should plug into the distributor cap , or the vent tube , there is a slot in the side of the distributor cap (front side ) plug it in .

I think just breather pipes , warm air , one to stop the rear lights from steaming up and the other see here .. https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/22689-distributor-vent-kit-do-you-really-need-to-use-the-hose.html

Pretty sure that's a vent tube for the distributor. It was a fix due to a thought that ozone buildup in the dizzy was causing the toothed belt driving the 2nd dizzy to fail.

correct, should avoid ozone destruction to protect the belt, today rusted bearings are the greatest danger for the Dizzy function and engine misfiring
