Rare to see a sunroof on a Gen 2 997. I’d expect to see many more if it was standard spec and you had to delete it.

not sure on the get2 but on the gen1 it certainly was an option to delete of it otherwise it came as std with a sunroof , not sure why they would change that on the gen 2 maybe buyers realised it was a heavy noisy thing and not needed as you have A/C so more of them went with the delete option Thumb or maybe they just went out of fashion by 2009/10 Dont know

My original brochure shows it as a cost option, except on cabriolet.

As a gen 1 manual owner I watch the gen 2 manual market avidly and they are rare. I doubt the resale would be affected as there'll always be die hard manual fans frustrated with the low number available on the used market. Try a search on the OPc used locator and with the exception of several gt3s and the odd over priced gen 1 there are only a couple of gen 2 cooking Carreras available but with average mileage. I predict that manuals will be stronger residually in the long term.

That looks like a very nice car IMO white with cocoa interior is a nice combo
the full leather centre console was quite expensive option when new its got that and other leather upgrades vents etc this car was specced for luxury and comfort when new.
given the mileage and 1 owner and it being a 4S etc I really dont think its over priced Thumb Thumb and its a manual Thumb

I agree with Phil. Good spec and more importantly the Cocoa interior. What this denotes is that you are extremely handsome and well endowed as it takes a man's man to have a car with it as your interior of choice. Floor All jokes aside it's a great colour for the interior as it changes dependant on light. It feels more luxurious than standard black.
The rest of the car looks great. If it all checks put visually, get a deposit down on it and and organise a PPI to ensure it's all kosher. Good luck with the viewing

Would the tinted rear 1/4 glass and rear screen have been a factory option?

if they are not film then it might have been specced for hot country or super hot country but its not listed as an option Question but it wouldnt suprise me as that car has some quite unusual options boxes ticked eg the external door mirror triangle colour coded white so whoever specced that car was not worried about the cost and wanted it just how they wanted it. I suspect that the first owner of this car was looking to save weight.

I told you not to mention that Terry Hand What type of mad man would turn down multiple 911s because they did not have a top heavy sunroof...

Confused What is it with car dealers ?

I asked the question before viewing this vehicle yesterday will you be prepared to take for OPC PPI that i pay for and this was agreed. Now I have agreed to buy the vehicle the dealer started dicking me about over getting it to a OPC for PPI so have had to pull out of the purchase.

All i can assume is he's got something to hide.

Broadoak International in Canterbury

I even offered the asking price as it's great condition and spec, just needed three wheels refurbished and four small dents removed by painless dent guy.

If they're offering an OPC warranty it must be a car they are selling on behalf of the owner. If you've offered the full asking price I can't see why they are getting snotty about driving it to Tonbridge - unless they've got another interested party who isn't so enlightened as you.

If you point out to them that there's a new OPC at Sidcup they might consider it as it's a far better journey for them.

NB: If the warranty is transferrable then buying the car shouldn't be an issue as everything important would be covered anyway. If the warranty runs to September 2019 it could only have been applied in September 2017 so there shouldn't be any other problems so soon after.

Thinking about it more.

IF they've taken ownership of the car it may be a problem for them to take it to Tonbridge OPC for a 111 point check as Tonbridge would know the previous owner.

It's obviously your call but if it is a 'Sale or Return' and the warranty is transferrable it's probably a safe purchase but I'd re-negotiate the sale price.

Good Luck
