Is this the revised or old style coolant cap for a 997 ?

I've heard different advice. I 've heard if it's blue it's the revised one. Also heard it must be blue and the last 2 numbers read 04 which mine doesn't.

Anyone know the correct advice ??

Hi Steve, I have had two 997.1's and four 997.2's, ranging from C2S, GTS, Turbo and GT3's.
I don't recall seeing the filler cap in any other colour accept blue. (It's been six years since I was in the 997.1 so I could be mistaken with that.)
 
As you stated, yours is an earlier one ending in .01, the later ones end in .04. Not expensive to change if you fancy it.

:floor: :floor: :floor: :grin: there were some lovely billet ones from the states but they stopped doing them :nooo: I tried everywhere for them :thumb: :thumb:
 
Thanks guys appreciate the advise.

Will order a replacement. Nothing wrong with one fitted tbh but if it's a part known to fail, I'm thinking best to change as preventative maintenance as not expensive.

mate I had no luck if you do get 2 sets :grin: the ones I was after were from evolution motorsport (evoms ) but they stopped doing the 997 ones and only carry the 996 ones now :nooo:
