Hi,

Advice and help required, if possible.

Gen 1 c4s

Today the heater appears to be stuck on full, very hot air blowing through all outlets whatever the temperature settings, with and without the air con on.

Any thoughts ?

Many thanks,

Mark

The interior temp sensor is probably under reading .

So for example if it says the car temp inside is 2 degrees and you have it set on 17 the car will try to get the car as warm as quick as possible and use full hot air untill it sees the temp increase then add more cold air to maintain the correct temp .

Theres not normally a fault code for this as the sensor is within limits so you look at actual values on a tester to see what the various sensors are saying .

It can be other sensors and it can be a stuck flap actuator motor but i would start with looking at the interior temp sensor value first .

Its in the center consol , a/c unit and behind a couple of grills from memory .

If you set it to low (min setting )then it should blow cold air .. if not then im moving towards a stuck flap motor .

Thanks for that, sounds a good place to start.

Help appreciated

Mark
