Picked up a 1994 Performance Car mag with this article comparing the cab vs coupe.

In summary it's much as one would expect ie cab ok if you need wind in hair or you're a girl otherwise coupe much better

Can load the other pages if anyone wants to read it

Good effort to get 2 speed yellows this early

Hi A993LAD,

I'm not a girl but I do like the wind in my hair, and yes before anybody asks I still have a full head of it :D

For me when the sun is shining and the skies are blue open top motoring is the best :thumb:

I've had quite a few cabs or convertibles as they used to be known in my time and loved everyone of them, even the old Triumph Stag...... when it wasn't in the garage for repair

Would love to read the rest of the article so if you could post it up I'd very much appreciate it. :thumb:

ATB :)

Yes, I've got a cab too , but I just tell everybody it belongs to the wife (which it does really).

And I like it a lot. But have to confess it does look a bit like the ugly duckling when parked next to the coupe version.

I'll post up the other pages for you

Rest of article hopefully

1994, a time when a 993 was considered to be "scorchingly fast".

Just shows how far things have moved on, in performance terms, since then. Not many improvements other than that mind you.

I enjoyed reading that, thanks. I wonder if there is a similar article on the 996. No cover required, and has better lines, IMO.

Just spotted I missed a page out

Think it's all there now

The thing that surprised me most was how magazine designs have changed.

Also weird seeing no web addresses or links in any ads or articles. Only fax numbers

Thanks, interesting read. Shame they didn't redo the article when the best of both worlds came out.. the Targa :)

But this looks better.........(apart from the pram handle obviously)

And I say this as an owner of a cab WITH a pram handle!

I love to see the C4 boys out in the snow....

I like the pram handle to be honest.....

I also think the cab looks fine, I'm especially keen on a silver cab with blue hood, I think they look really good.
