Intermittent Warning light.

Following on from my very expensive high beam fault. I now have an intermittent main warning light indication.

When I accelerate hard or when I hit a bump in the road, the main warning light flashes on. Initially I thought it was

A) one of the failed levels needing topping up.

B) the alternator belt slipping

C) handbrake or rear spoiler indicator.

All have been checked and no fault found.

Any better ideas?

Many thanks.

These intermittent faults can be erksome can't they !!!
My feeling is something has been disturbed in the fuse box.
If your mechanic has been rooting around in there he could have caused this.
Have you tried completely disconnecting the battery for an hour to reset the DME?
How's the main earth to the battery?
Also there are a number of earthing points including some behind the dash that should be investigated.
Keep us in the loop and we'll figure it out.....

Many thanks, as it happens the high bean problem was caused by a loose connection in the fuse box, so shall start there.

Had not considered disconnecting the DME,so will give that a go as well.

Cheers.
