My annual road trip was over three days this year, Glasgow to Shieldaig via the Applecross, Shieldaig to Tongue, Tongue to Lairg and onto the old military road and down through Glenshee. Incredible roads, great fun and loads of memories. 800 miles or so.

Some pictures for you to enjoy.

This was the start of a 37 mile stretch of single track road. Awesome.

You should be sending those pics to the Scottish Tourist Board - never mind Outlander - very atmospheric

The Tongue to Lairg road is one of my favourites...

How did the 'Old Girl' perform.....in some exotic company there!

V79 is indeed Barry's car. Incredible machine. New splitter now required.

Colin the RS was incredible. I put the front and rear roll bars to full soft which make it far more manageable on long fast roads. It was really on these that the difference between the modern era and the 993 become apparent. Modern cars are on another level, certainly with me driving. On the single track stuff, no difference. These were the most fun, at times you felt it was a one way system. Incredible. The turn in and feel of the car is so precise, slipped a few times given the occasional rain shower but nothing scary. Some of the best driving roads I had ever been on. Great few days. Even managed two swims in the North Atlantic in shorts with people taking pictures thinking we were mad. All part of the fun. :thumb:

Thought so, can't be too many around.

Has he still got the 4S? Said he was going to run it in the winter last year.

He sent me an amazing picture of the RS at a meet, were you the man behind the lens :?:
