Hi all,

My front osf brake shield is rattling due to corrosion,
Mechanic says wheel bearing and hub look they need removing to replace the shield.

1) anyone know if this is the case
2) has anyone removed them for better cooling,
I see some have in the states, but they don't have the rainfall we do.

Regards

Paul

I took mine off last week... I had the disc and caliper off at the time but you don't need to remove anything else... In fact I suspect it could be done without removing anything except the wheel. Its only held on by 3 or 4 12mm bolt IIRC

Thanks for the info Paul, just to confirm we are talking about the metal dust shield just behind the disc, did you remove for them for better cooling or something else.
