I'd rather have the 10k mile C2s.....

They are really reaching in this years auction aren't they? A Cat C/D 993 GT2 with a low estimate of £675k ?!?! and a 964 RS with a replacement engine from they don't even know when it was done - up for £170-190k....
Why all the junk? Good ones not for sale or sellers unrealistic on pricing?

I think that we ought to see if either make their reserve before trying to comprehend the valuations :?:

One more question, can one of you mechanically minded experts explain to very simple me how a 964 turbo with 1700 miles needs a complete engine rebuild? I get that it was stored, I get that it has perished rubbers and stale fluids etc, but a full rebuild?

I agree for me they are incredibly ugly but each to their own.

me too... :yuk:

....there are some belters(increasingly many are 996's) being punted about that really give the Porsche marque a bad name. :nooo:

agreed , and these are only 2 of them !

These are 2 ugly sisters ...........................!!

You wouldnt get me in either of these ! ( the cars ...!)

I actually really like the total outrageousness of these cars...

C.

The Avalanche :yuk:

But I don't mind the Cyrrus... :what:

Are you sure? Look at the rear wing....please....
You could take a zero off the price I still wouldn't be seen dead in it

Arrgghhh my eyes.

They are properly mingin. Surely LHD cars from the Middle East!

Used to see a lot of Gemballa Cayennes in Dubai, which in comparison I now know weren't that ugly after all.

They are not the kind of cars that suit ' The likes of Us' in UK.....

maybe some Middle east or Far east buyers as they are generally a bit more drawn to The Bling that these 2 display ...

but ..... for me .... Im oot !!

Avalanche...more like Ava-A-Laugh.....I bet these cost a pretty packet back in the day.

I suspect at the end of the auction we will see: Failed to reach reserve or as had been mentioned before someone with deep pockets that likes Gamballsup..

Well, I like them! Or at least I did when I first saw pictures of them in the 90's. I'm sure they are going to sell and then go immediately into some private collection. I guess in recent times, they are seen as ugly ducklings compared to modern day design.

Just imo of course.
