So my 996 C2 has DesignTek 220 Coilovers, and I see they are adjustable, but what is the recommended setting for them?

The car is set up to 996 Mk1 GT3 Geometry, the car will be fast road and track use.

I can't find there contact details to ask them directly.

Call Design911 and ask them. They are the retailers of those shocks. If you don't get anything useful out of them, set them to the middle setting all around and work from there to get it to your own preference. Soften one end of the car relative to the other end and the softer end will have more grip relative to the harder end.

Already rang them, woman on the phone didn't know.

DesignTek website was down too

Settings for any adjustable suspension is a very personal thing, as advised set all four corners sort of mid adjustment and work from there.
Do a couple of laps on track then adjust, and again, and again etc. Until you are happy.
Design 911 sell the suspension, they are far from track car setting up specialists.

Concerning design911, yes I know.

But on previously modified cars I've had, I've spoken to the suspension manufacturer and they have provided 'recommended' settings.
But I also understand there is an element of personal preference.

Take them off whilst they are still shiny and sell them! This is a 7 month old front:

They don't have enough droop, the rear springs are too soft (so you end up trying to use the damper to hold the spring up and it's not a good enough damper for that!) and the first third of the adjustment range dynos pretty much the same. They are not a good package. They are safe and there aren't any bits that will fail in a bad way just you do (to a point anyway) get what you pay for with dampers. I am fairly sure they are made for DesignTek by I Shih Cheng in Taiwan who make most of the after market mostly anodised coilovers at this sort of price range. ISC can do some good stuff but at this money landed they are leaving Taiwan at about 370 quid a set which gives you some idea what they have to work with - the sphericals in my top mounts were more than that!

I totally understand what you're saying.
I've experienced this with my old build.

But unfortunately this is what I have for the time being and it came on the car. And mine actually looked in good condition. The car won't be used much if at all in rain or winter.
At a later date I will hopefully be going KW, Bilstein or maybe even Ohlins.

I just want to make what I have at the moment right.
Cheers for the replies though.

You owned it immediately before me?

I could do with asking a couple questions if you are ok with that.
