I am interested to fit the white dials Speedometer.
I found a secondhand speedometer in white but for a LHD car.

Does anyone know if a LHD speedometer would fit to a RHD car?

Thanks in advance for any inputs gives.

Josh

Will it not be in KMs?

And depending on where its coming from the temp gauges will be in fahrenheit or celsius :thumb:

Depends where it is from. If American it should be mph and Fahrenheit and continental Europe kmh and Celsius.

Fairly confident that any cluster can be made to work with any car, but would not be at all surprised if you had to get a main dealer or specialist with the full diagnostic computer to tell the car before it would work properly?

Thank you all so much for the inputs

Alex, Phil and Disco: Very fortunate, they are identical with the one currently installed in the car. Both in kms and celcius. At least from this angle, we are OK.

Halcyon: I have ventured to this option. However, I found feedbacks about the difficulties of taking the needles off. It may damage the original speedometer. I live in Jakarta and rather difficult to have it swnt away to the US so DIY is my option. Thus, I rather buy the whole cluster and plug it in, should it be plug and play.

Disco: I will consult with local Porsche specialist should this need to be diagnosed.

Again, thank you for all thw feedbacks. I may approach to purchase the cluster. One thing I know for sure is that the reading would be different than what is on the current state.

When I changed my dials to green, what we did was to photograph the dials and needle position so when we rebuilt it with the new dials the needles could be located in exactly the same position . with care the needles do come off easily . I will post a photo you will notice that my first post was from experience as I have informed the company making the dials that it was MPH and a tiptronic so great until they made the mistake of thinking I was in the USA so all the temp gauges are in US temps not UK no big issue as I got used to it but worth noting for anyone considering dial changes.
