Anybody use them to sell a Porsche?
Any experiences good or bad?
Should i sell mine to them?
Am i committing a crime mentioning them in the same sentence as the word Porsche?

Most of the time, they'll give you a number for your car which allows them to sell off at a profit elsewhere. Their job is simply to enable you to sell quickly if that is what you are after. If you want the best value on re-sale, then there are better options available.

As they are owned by British car auctions, you now know what they do with all their cars

It was based on a computer programme, that gave the owner 95% of cap clean, all cars went to auction where they hoped to get 1055 of cap clean

( cap being a car trade price guide)
there are anomalies where some cars are worth £000's less than car some more.

But I would say that for a Porsche, you'll get a better price by ringing the specialists,

What worried me was you hand over the car and the money is paid into your account some time later. If you sell on Friday & the firm goes bust by Monday you could lose car & be an unsecured creditor for your money.

I have just been on their website and it doesn't recognise my registration plate ........ and there is no Porsche option on their list of car makes ....... and I am sure the price that they would offer would be derogatory ...... lol

sorry just an edit they do have the Porsche option on the model list ........ but the registration option doesn't go that far back for 1995 plate.

If it comes back with less than 25 bags give me a call :thumb:

I tried WBAC with my Cayenne and their offer was far better than OPC.

the above has been noted! :nooo:

I think they give you a price on the internet, then knock you down massively when you turn up with the car.

Just like Ebay.

Just like Ebay.

That was my thoughts and a work chum said when he took a BMW to them several years ago they were all over it with their Colini stick, measuring paint thickness, panel gaps etc. They tried to knock him, he went to walk away and he got the internet price they offered.

Most of us would rather stick wasps up our Harriss's than sell to bum-feeders like WBACdotfuckingcom.

BUT...the world is changing and trying to sell ANY car privately these days is becoming increasingly difficult, nay impossible, from a £30,000 Porsche to a £500 Polo.

Car dealers know this and this is reflected in the bloody pitiful, piss-taking price they offer as p/ex.

WBAC are onto a winner because you can turn your car into (a small amount) of cash, but cash nonetheless, if you're desperate.

Guys recently have been getting good and fair offers from the specialists like 911 virgin and the like. I think these guys know the Porsche market so well and that most versions are static or going up they can be fair with the price offered . so worth a ring around as they give a sight unseen estimate and if you have been honest re condition then thats the price you will get.

I wouldn't expect a good price from WBAC for a 911 but my father did sell his Disco 4 to them. Great price and no messing, so there you go. It works for some.

Only thing I'd sell to them is a broken car :hand:

The clutch went on the Mrs' Volvo so I was going to dump it with them, but still worked out cheaper to to repair it:

Autotrader (similar car): £4000
Fix clutch, Slave cylinder & DMF: £500
WBAC valuation: £2000

So even if I sell it for £3000 I am still £500 up

Sold to WBAC

quick, easy, nice price - same as i paid nearly four years ago.

Offered to two Porsche dealers with no response of note from either plus a lower offer from OPC

i dont think WBAC are as bad as some dealers would like us to think
