Whee would people recommend to have a 996 3.4 C2 mapped?

I plan on exhaust, decat, manifolds, 82mm GT3 throttle body, IPD, airbox mod etc, and I want to make the most of it all.

SJE, Sounds like you going to have some fun with your toy . As DD says RPM are very good others to consider.
I had my 997.1 remapped by DMSautomotive in Southampton.
and the 997.2 was remapped by Regal motorsports also in Southampton
both worth considering as options.
re the rest of your mods
if its a road car then I suggest you consider the option of.
equal length headers, 200 cell cats and muffler bypass pipes as this set up will pass mots and also not cause cel lights (although the cel errors may be poss to map out)
the other mods all look good don't be swayed by cheaper TB/Plens the IPD is the best, personally I prefer BMC sports filters as I had some maff fouling with oil from a K&N Filter but its a personal choice .

I look forward to reading how the mods progress

Cheers guys.

The car already has Airbox mod, 82mm GT3 throttle body and Cat back exhaust.
The advert said it had a Carrera Plenum. I'm not quite sure what that is, I'm wondering if it comes with the TB and is the same as the IPD mod.

I'm wondering if its the kit from EuroCupGT.com that I have.

if its already got the GT3 TB/PLEN are you sure its not already mapped as they kind of are recommended to be done side by side .Not sure what they mean by carrera plenum :?: not even sure a 82MM TB would fit on a stock plen :dont know: so it must be a GT3 plen as well . if you can post a pic of the engine bay around the TB we might be able to tell you which make is fitted the IPD has IPD stamped on it and is a silver alloy
the eurocup one I thought was carbon fibre , any thoughts on which you have based on this info :thumb:

Cheers for the reply Phil.

I pick the car up at the end of the month, I'm just researching at the moment.

There is nothing mentioned about a remap.

It's got a fairly large silicone hose from the TB to Airbox.

I'll find out more when I pick the car, but at the moment I'm trying to gain some info on these 911's.

Good idea to get ideas before you get the car, if it is the ipd kit the big hose should be black with ipd in white printed on it. highly likely its got a sports filter in the airbox as well and the resonator delete cap on the top of the airbox.
the car will relearn partially the new set up from fitting the gt3 tb/plen but to get the best I would have expected the previous keeper to have mapped it . hopefully it will be in the paperwork somewhere.
also guys that mod are usually happy to chat to the new owner so get his details from the v5 and contact him if your buying from a dealer if not just ask him .
just as a heads up , does it say that the car has been fitted with a 4" underdrive pulley as modders sometimes do this mod , if so you need the original underdrive pulley to come with the car incase you ever need to do the timing. if not then its not an issue but thought I would mention it just incase.

I just need to find out if the set up I potentially have now is as good as the metal IPD.

There are guys on here that have used the carbon eurocup one with no negative reviews, so I assume that means they are happy with it. :thumb:
One member did say he felt the inside of the carbon was a bit rough and would have expected it to be super smooth given its purpose , but thats all I have heard . :thumb:

Cheers Stuart.

What sort of figures are people getting with there Specs?

Do you know whether the car is Egas (Throttle by wire) or a cable throttle? The early cars with the cable throttle(1997-2000) use a different ECU that is much harder to remap. It needs to be opened up and the chip containing the map swapped out. It's a specialist job and only a small number of porsche specialists can do this. If it's the later Egas type of ECU then pretty much anybody with access to a rolling road can remap it, though whether or not they would do a good job is another question.

Pretty sure it's an electric throttle body.

Yea I've heard of Wayne in the Peugeot world, comes with a good reputation! Just very difficult to get hold of.
