The Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series is limited to 500 units and costs £187k. Just about £40,000 more than a regular Turbo S and for just an extra 27bhp with plenty of Gold trimmings....
The new 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series from Porsche is the most powerful and unique edition of the iconic, all-wheel drive turbocharged sports car.
Limited to 500 units worldwide, the exquisite coupé offers a power output of 607 hp (446 kW). In addition to a 27 hp increase from its flat-six twin-turbocharged engine, the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series is distinct in many other ways from the standard 911 Turbo S.
The sports car is intricately finished by hand in the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur at the company headquarters in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Germany. Previously known as 'Porsche Exclusive', the in-house workshop specialises in tailoring to customer wishes as well as being responsible for limited series production. Furthermore, for the first time ever, Porsche customers can have the matching chronograph from Porsche Design configured in the same design as that chosen for their sports car.
Increased power and performance
The 3.8-litre, flat-six cylinder twin-turbo engine with an exclusive power kit has a maximum torque of 750 Nm, delivered between 2,250 and 4,000 rpm. This translates to the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series accelerating from 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds, and where conditions allow it will take 9.6 seconds to cross the 124 mph threshold. The sports car can reach a top speed of 205 mph. Fuel consumption of 31.0 mpg Combined equates to the same as that for the standard model, and corresponds to 212 g/km CO2.
Exceptional design
The feature which particularly distinguishes the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series is its exclusive Golden Yellow Metallic paint finish and the various components in carbon; such as the bonnet, roof and side skirts. The two carbon-weave strips that contour the roof and bonnet accentuate the purposeful, sporting stance of the car. The rear view is characterised by the spoiler of the Turbo Aerokit, a new rear apron, the ram-air scoop in carbon and the exhaust system with two twin tailpipes made from stainless steel finished in black. The wheel arches are decorated with 'Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur' motifs.
The 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series rides on black-painted 20-inch wheels with centre lock hubs as standard, and their design lines are carefully traced in a Golden Yellow Metallic finish using a new laser technology. For the first time, the brake callipers for the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) brake system are available ex-works in a black-painted version with the Porsche logo in Golden Yellow Metallic.
