So I've read a fair bit about upgrading the plenum and throttle body on the 986 to the 3.4 version from the 996 however I've not read anything about the 3.6 version from the 996.
The reason I'm interested is that I have a completely spare dead 3.6 engine from my 996 and other than the block itself, everything else is in fine fettle.
I have a 2000 Boxster S so its an E-Throttle anyway just like my 996 one. Can I simply swap the plenum and throttle body from the 996 on to my Boxster? I'm not worried about any discrepancies between pipe size from the MAF to the throttle body as I can make something up if they dont match.
