I need 4 new coffin arms, and I've seen some on Ebay. Meyle Has anyone had any experience with these. I just want non adjustable. I also need new front top mounts and bump stops. While I,m at it I will also put lower springs on..
Design 911 perhaps?

Meyle are fine as coffin arms although you may need some adjustment on other parts to bring the tracking in.

I have just bought the coffins and folk kit from design 911 for the front
Seemed great value with a whole fixing kit too . Hoping to fit on sat along with drop links.
Anything else I should give attention too while I'm in the area?
It's on 65k so just wanting to keep everything feeling fresh
Top mounts have been done already
Any suggestions from personal experiences?

To the OP: Depending on how low you go with lowering springs you may find yourself running out of toe adjustment at the rear. If you do then you'll need adjustable toe links.

Budgie, you may consider new anti-roll bar bushes while you're down there. The originals are rubber and are liikely to be past their best by now. Powerflex ones would be a good choice. Also, it would be worth replacing the bolts that hold them in with stainless.

When doing all this, consider using plenty of anti-sieze compound on bolt shafts and thread locking compound on threads. It's not easy to keep the two seperate, but it's well worth it when it you come to do work on the suspension in the future.

Also this goes double for the front drop links. These are frequently a major job to release from the upright. When doin mine I had to take the struts off the car, put them on the bench and use a combination of WD40, fire, spanners, a ping bar, and a lot of drilling to get them out. Do let the forum know if your's are stuck and there will be a few of us on here that can advise on the least painful way to realease them.

Thanks for the reply Martin I will repost and
Let you know how I get on
Fingers crossed won't be to painful

So last weekend I passed on fitting the bits as a cars and coffee morning came up
Hoping to do it over the next few days just a quick question
Do any of the bolts need to be replaced or do you just use all the ones you take out ( providing they all come out ok )
Thanks in advance

Just had 4 coffin arms and 2 rear track control arms replaced along with fitting new front top mounts, bearings, bump stops, front drop links and koni fsd shocks front and rear

On the meyle coffin arms i was recommended by my speacialist to change the nylock nuts on the ball joints for genuine porsche shouldered stiff nuts nuts

The rear bolts are apparently prone to seizing, I replaced the lot as it wasn,t expensive.

4 wheel alignment as well

Thanks for the reply
I bet it's like a new car
I need to get on and get this done
I'll try and keep the thread updated

So I managed to get one side done this evening and I have to say with the correct tools it was fairly easy!
Anyone thinking about giving it a go and holding back just do it.
The only thing that was a bit of a pain was breaking the joint into the hub .
Gave me a good chance to have a mooch around and check for any rust but all looks good 👍
Oh and the meyle coffin arms look identical
But there is a noticeable bit of difference in the folk arms when you lay them side by side
