Why recently, have people started calling 996s and 997s Turbos and Turbo S`s TTs? Where has the 996TT and 997TT come from? is it a model that Porsche make thats not the 996 or 997 Turbo or Turbo S?

It happens on and off. Some people call it a TT by which I assume they mean Twin Turbo, or could be Turbo Tiptronic? Certainly not a new thing.

TT ...tut.

Presumably a 991.2 TT will need to be FFTT, to differentiate from the other turbo 991s which are not proper 'turbos'.
